Ease in: day 2
Surprisingly, I was did not feel like I was starving this morning, despite how I felt last night. I did manage to ingest over 1200 calories yesterday. I think today, though, will be a little bit more difficult. Today is only fresh juices and broths. The juices I have been able to find the calorie count online somewhere. The vegetable broth, though, is not working very well. My recipe does not include a calorie count, and all the information I find online is either for a different vegetable broth recipe or does not say what is included in the broth, which can be a big deal when some are only 15 calories per cup and some are 60 calories per cup. My only idea right now is to take the average and just use that. It will give me an estimate, anyway.

Just juice and broth has been harder than expected. Broth hardly gives any calories. I also do not have a good strainer yet, so all the bits of vegetables that came loose while cooking stayed in the broth, making it seemingly thick to drink. I ended up not finishing the broth. The kind I made is roughly 20 calories per cup, meaning I can drink a soda bottle's worth of it and it still wouldn't equal the calories in a snack pack bag! That aspect is rather frustrating. The other thing is that I ran out of fruit to juice. This means that I have been using up the oranges that were reserved for tomorrow (in which I will only be ingesting orange juice). I already went to the store once today, so I guess I'll just get more oranges tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention a few things. I am using the calorie counter on everydayhealth.com to keep track of my intake. Also, my energy level today is the same as when I started. The big difference, though, is that I just want to sleep. Again, I have enough energy to get through the day without feeling like I am dragging, but I just want a nap.
